HM Revenue & Customs no more credit card payments
You should be aware
that after 12 January 2018. HM Revenue & Customs will not be accepting
credit card payments for the payment of tax bills. This goes for all tax payments not just
self-assessment and includes PAYE.
The reason being is
that following EU legislation suppliers are not allowed to pass on credit
card charges. Obviously in the case of
HM Revenue & Customs they could not show favour to one customer against
another, therefore will not accept payment by credit card.
