Changes in Collection of Class 2 National Insurance Contributions

All self employed persons pay a class 2 national insurance stamp. In the past this has usually been collected by a monthly direct debit or in some cases on a quarterly basis.

From 6th April 2015 your class 2 national insurance contribution will be collected through the self assessment tax return system together with any class 4 national insurance contributions.

HMRC will be collecting the last payment for class 2 in July 2015, thereafter we expect it to be included in the self assessment tax bill.

Further information to follow in due course.
